Founded<\/b> in 1956<\/b> by Leonhard and Elisabeth Flach<\/b>, our history began as a small specialist sewing machine store in a converted apartment in the Damm district of Aschaffenburg.<\/p>

Today<\/b>, over 68 years later, the second and third generations<\/b> are successfully running the sewing world <\/b> hand in hand<\/b>. The store has also changed: With a sales area of around 4500 square meters, we now offer a wide range of different sewing, embroidery and overlock machines as well as matching accessories of all kinds. We are proud to be Europe’s largest meeting place for sewing, embroidery, patchwork and more<\/b>! <\/p>

However, growth and change do not happen overnight and our history has also been shaped by various milestones:<\/p>

  • 1961<\/b> Relocation to the main shopping street Herstallstra\u00dfe in Aschaffenburg<\/p><\/li>

  • 1966<\/b> Expansion of the product range to include haberdashery and fashion goods, we are one of the first sewing centers in Germany and the No. 1 in Aschaffenburg<\/p><\/li>

  • 1981<\/b> With Peter Flach<\/b>, the second generation<\/b> joins the management and the sole proprietorship is converted into a limited company<\/p><\/li>

  • 1989<\/b> Sabine Flach<\/b> joins the management<\/p><\/li>

  • 1993 \/ 1994<\/b> Conversion and enlargement of the sales area and expansion of the product range to include fabrics<\/p><\/li>

  • 1998<\/b> First presentation on the Internet<\/p><\/li>

  • 2003<\/b> Death of company founder Leo Flach<\/p><\/li>

  • 2004<\/b> Relocation to Aschaffenburg-Nilkheim to a new store with approx. 1000 square meters of sales area \uf0e0<\/span> Transformation from “N\u00e4hzentrum” to “N\u00e4hwelt Flach” – Europe’s largest meeting place for sewing, embroidery, patchwork and more…<\/b><\/p><\/li>

  • 2005<\/b> Entry of the third generation<\/b>: Daniel<\/b> and Marius Flach<\/b> become part of the company and shortly afterwards also of the management team<\/p><\/li>

  • 2008<\/b> Launch of the new online store<\/p><\/li>

  • 2016<\/b> Foundation of the own brand “Semplix”<\/b><\/p><\/li>

  • 2018<\/b> Support from the two daughters-in-law Vanessa and Angie<\/b><\/p><\/li>

  • 2022<\/b> Relocation of the store to Kleinostheim near Aschaffenburg, directly at the A3\/A45 freeway junction<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Since our move to Kleinostheim, we have relied entirely on environmentally conscious electricity<\/b>: a 6000 square meter photovoltaic system<\/b> on the roof not only powers the entire sewing world, but also the 4 charging stations for electric cars in our free customer parking lot!<\/p>
