Over the years, Semplix and its range of products have grown steadily – thanks to our passion for sewing, the many years of experience of our employees and the proximity to our customers.

Company history Nähwelt Flach
Founded in 1956 by Leonhard and Elisabeth Flach, our history began as a small specialist sewing machine store in a converted apartment in the Damm district of Aschaffenburg.
Today, over 68 years later, the second and third generations are successfully running the sewing world hand in hand. The store has also changed: With a sales area of around 4500 square meters, we now offer a wide range of different sewing, embroidery and overlock machines as well as matching accessories of all kinds. We are proud to be Europe’s largest meeting place for sewing, embroidery, patchwork and more!
However, growth and change do not happen overnight and our history has also been shaped by various milestones:
1961 Relocation to the main shopping street Herstallstraße in Aschaffenburg
1966 Expansion of the product range to include haberdashery and fashion goods, we are one of the first sewing centers in Germany and the No. 1 in Aschaffenburg
1981 With Peter Flach, the second generation joins the management and the sole proprietorship is converted into a limited company
1989 Sabine Flach joins the management
1993 / 1994 Conversion and enlargement of the sales area and expansion of the product range to include fabrics
1998 First presentation on the Internet
2003 Death of company founder Leo Flach
2004 Relocation to Aschaffenburg-Nilkheim to a new store with approx. 1000 square meters of sales area Transformation from “Nähzentrum” to “Nähwelt Flach” – Europe’s largest meeting place for sewing, embroidery, patchwork and more…
2005 Entry of the third generation: Daniel and Marius Flach become part of the company and shortly afterwards also of the management team
2008 Launch of the new online store

2022 Relocation of the store to Kleinostheim near Aschaffenburg, directly at the A3/A45 freeway junction
Since our move to Kleinostheim, we have relied entirely on environmentally conscious electricity: a 6000 square meter photovoltaic system on the roof not only powers the entire sewing world, but also the 4 charging stations for electric cars in our free customer parking lot!
In addition to sustainability, social commitment is also important to us: we have been supporting various projects for many years, including the proceeds from the stand fee and catering costs of our creative market places go entirely to Sonetschko Kinderheimhilfe Ukraine e.V.!
