Filmoplast® is a self-adhesive and tear-away stabilizer for fixing fabrics during machine embroidery that cannot be clamped directly in the embroidery hoop. It is suitable, for example, for pressure-sensitive fabrics such as corduroy or velvet, materials that are too thick with different thicknesses such as wool felt and small blanks such as patch pockets.
- Consists of a non-woven backing material with polyacrylate adhesive.
- Dimensions 33 cm x 5 m, in white color.
- Center hoop in the embroidery hoop with the backing paper facing upwards.
- Masking paper is removed, fabric is glued on and embroidered.
- Embroidery is removed from the Filmoplast® towards the center.
- Can be used several times in the same place for identical motifs.
- Protruding edges are shortened to prevent snagging.
