Filmoplast® Strong is a robust, self-adhesive embroidery stabilizer that is ideal for fusing delicate fabrics that cannot be clamped directly in the embroidery hoop.
Suitable for:
- Pressure-sensitive materials such as corduroy or velvet
- Thick fabrics, e.g. wool felt or fabrics with varying thicknesses such as fell seams
- Small blanks, for example patch pockets

Application for machine embroidery:
- Hoop Filmoplast® Strong in the center of the embroidery hoop with the checkered backing paper side facing up. Trim back any protruding edges and corners to prevent the fabric from catching.
- Make a cross-shaped slit in the backing paper using a pin or scriber. Only peel off the backing paper so that the adhesive side is exposed.
- Attach the fabric to be embroidered to the stabilizer and embroider it as usual.
- Tear the embroidery from the Filmoplast® Strong, ideally still clamped in the frame.
- For multiple embroideries of the same motif, the stretched Filmoplast® Strong can be used several times by closing any holes with remnants.
